Description

Proposed redevelopment of several sites located across the Ackroydon East Estate. The new development will provide Council Rent homes for local people and those working within the borough as part of our Homes for Wandsworth programme.

We have commissioned a design team to assess the feasibility for the redevelopment of previously non-residential areas of the Ackroydon East Estate into new housing, with additional landscaping and amenity improvements benefitting the wider estate.

News

A planning application for Site D, located on Swanton Gardens has now received approval. This submission follows consultation with the local community during the design phase of the scheme and their feedback was incorporated into the planning application.

The remaining sites within the Ackroydon East Estate scheme have now been submitted for planning permission and await committee decision.

We will continue to keep local people informed as the development progresses. The next steps will be to source and appoint a contractor and create a bespoke works plan.

Resident and stakeholder engagement

A further consultation and engagement session with local stakeholders for Sites C and E took place on Wednesday 13 March 2024 at the Ackroydon Community Hall, followed by a webinar on the evening of Thursday 14 March 2014.
