Planning policy consultations

The planning service undertakes regular consultation on the development of its Local Plan and related policy documents.

Regulation 19 consultation on Local Plan Partial Review

We are currently inviting comments on the 'Publication' (Regulation 19) version of the Local Plan Partial Review. As part of the Local Plan Partial Review, we are proposing to update six policies, alongside updates to supporting and other text required for consistency or clarity.

These six policies are:

  • Policy LP23: Affordable Housing
  • Policy LP24: Housing Mix 
  • Policy LP28: Purpose-Built Student Accommodation 
  • Policy LP29: Housing with Shared Facilities 
  • Policy LP30: Build to Rent 
  • Policy LP31: Specialist Housing for Vulnerable People and for Older People

The consultation runs from Monday 13 January to Monday 24 February 2025. At this stage of the plan-making process, in accordance with national guidance, the consultation is focussed on the Local Plan Partial Review's soundness and legal compliance.

How to be included in a future consultation

To be included in future consultations on planning policy, email your details to planningpolicy@wandsworth.gov.uk. 

Anyone who has previously commented on policy documents will automatically be included in future policy consultations.
