About Wandsworth Heritage Service
Wandsworth Heritage Service is the archives and local history library for Wandsworth, covering Wandsworth, Battersea, Putney, Tooting and Balham. We also hold some information for Clapham and Streatham which were part of the borough of Wandsworth before 1965. Customers are advised to make an appointment before visiting – while we try to accommodate drop-in visits, this cannot be guaranteed. Our search room is situated on the first floor of Battersea Library, which has stair only access. Please let us know if you require alternative arrangements to view materials on the ground floor. Any correspondence with Wandsworth Heritage Service will be retained for seven years and kept in a database to assist us in answering future enquiries. Please let us know if you would like your enquiry and its record to be deleted.
