Authorised waste carriers

If you use a commercial waste collection service, you should check whether the business is an authorised waste carrier beforehand.

If a tradesman (e.g. builder, landscape gardener, carpet fitter) carries out work on your property you have a responsibility for any waste they produce. You should check in advance that they will dispose of the waste generated and that they are authorised to do so e.g. that they are registered to transport the waste.
