Mid-year population estimates

Latest data shows Wandsworth's resident population is 328,367 (Office for National Statistics mid-2021 estimate).

Annual mid-year estimates of the population of the borough by age and gender are published by the Office for National Statistics.

GLA demographic projections

Using detailed information from the Census, together with updated information on births, deaths, migration and fertility, the Greater London Authority (GLA) produce projections of population at borough and ward level.

These projections can be used as indicators of underlying changes in the population, rather than forecasts of exact counts.
