Young families in Putney and Wandsworth are being asked to take part in an online consultation to help choose the best design for a local playground revamp.
Families who visit Wandsworth Park in Putney Bridge Road are being asked for their views on proposals to upgrade play facilities in this popular riverside green space. The council has set aside more than £240,000 to fund these improvements.
There are three designs people can consider – which have been drawn up based on feedback obtained from local people in an earlier round of consultation.
Judi Gasser, Cabinet Member for Environment, said: “We hope parents and children who live nearby and use this play area will have a look at these exciting designs and tell us which one they like best.
“Our previous consultation helped us to better understand what local residents think of the existing playground and how they felt it could be improved. Their feedback was really important in helping us create these three distinctive new designs and layouts for this popular community space.
“We want to deliver an excellent new playground for children in the area and local families will play a key role in helping us choose the best design.”

People who would prefer to fill in a paper copy of the questionnaire can email parks@enablelc.org or call (020) 3959 0060.
- There will also be two drop-in sessions at Wandsworth Park where staff from the council’s leisure and culture contractor Enable will be happy to answer questions about the three designs. These information sessions will be held between 2pm and 5pm on Wednesday, 8 May and between 12 noon and 3pm on Saturday, 11 May.
