HIV is treatable and can be well managed, and transmission can be prevented with early treatment which is why it is important to test to prevent a late HIV diagnosis.

Free, fast and confidential HIV testing services will be available in multiple locations across the borough, suitable for people from all backgrounds and occupations.

No appointments are required, and services are free. You will be offered expert advice and support from a friendly team of staff at Spectra.

Upcoming testing centres

Thursday 13 February: Circle Library, 3pm to 5pm (SW18 4LE)

Friday 14 February: Southfields Library, 12pm to 3pm (SW18 5JS)

If someone is affected by HIV in Wandsworth there is a Wandsworth HIV peer support group.

And for those living with HIV, further support is provided by Metro.

Graeme Henderson, Cabinet member for Public Health and Community Safety said:

“At Wandsworth we strongly support National HIV Testing Week and encourage residents to get tested. It’s important that people have simple and free access to such services which are available in the borough.”
