Mega Skip Day this Saturday

Usually there is a charge for bulky waste collections, but during our Mega Skip Days you can take up to six items along to the mega skip nearest to you for free.

Wandsworth doubled the amount of Mega Skip locations after figures show the popular skips have contributed to a 16 per cent reduction in fly-tipping over the past two years.

Cabinet Member for Environment Judi Gasser said: “We know that Mega Skips work – they are convenient for residents, make disposing of household items accessible and are free for everyone to use. Together with the hard work of our enforcement team, they have led to a reduction in fly-tipping.

“Mega Skip Days are part of our Cleaner Borough plan to make it easier and safer for local people to do the right thing.“
