7 rings, 7 days: New standards of customer service

The Council’s 7 rings 7 days pledges are making a real difference in the day-to-day lives of residents. From graffiti removal and pothole repairs to customer call response times, the Council is committed to transparency and high performance—with weekly stats published on our website.

At the end of the second month of 7 rings, 7 day guarantees, we have:

Repaired 100% of dangerous potholes reported in 7 days

Removed 100% of graffiti reported in 7 days

Replaced 80% of broken street signs reported in 7 days

And are answering almost 90% of calls to our main number within 7 rings.

5,000 free bulky waste bookings: A cleaner Wandsworth for everyone

The introduction of two free bulky waste collections per year has proven overwhelmingly popular, with more than 5,000 bookings made so far. Daily demand is now topping 130 bookings, and the Council is urging more residents to take advantage of the scheme to help keep the borough clean and clutter-free.

This is part of our wider Cleaner Borough Plan that includes more street cleaning, increased recycling, more little bins, and more Mega Skips in more neighbourhoods.

London Borough of Culture: A year to remember

Wandsworth’s cultural calendar is buzzing. Our year as London Borough of Culture kicks off with Strictly Wandsworth in Battersea Park, which sold out in under 20 minutes, and a show-stopping event at the Royal Albert Hall showcasing young local talent.

From playgrounds to performance venues, Wandsworth is championing creativity in every corner. Initiatives will include:

  • Performances and creative projects in schools and estates
  • Career-building programmes in the creative industries for young people
  • Partnerships with renowned organisations like the Royal College of Art and Wandsworth Music
