Putney’s revamped play area and trim trail officially reopened

Residents and young families in West Putney are enjoying upgraded children’s play equipment and a new ‘keep fit’ trim trail in their local neighbourhood green space.

The new equipment has been installed at The Pleasance, on West Putney’s Dover House estate and was chosen following consultation with local residents.
The new play equipment is designed for children up to the age of eight, while the trim trail’s fitness apparatus is suitable for use by all ages.
The new look play area was formally opened by the Mayor of Wandsworth Cllr Jeremy Ambache earlier this month.
Wandsworth’s cabinet member for environment Cllr Judi Gasser said: “This is a great facility for local people of all ages; I hope everyone will come and enjoy it."
Funding for the £175,000 scheme came from the Wandsworth Local Fund (WLF), which comprises money the council has levied on developers to help pay for community and local neighbourhood infrastructure improvements.
