A celebration launch event took place last week at the Turbine Theatre in Battersea Power Station attended by young people, social work teams and multi-agency partner organisations.
Family Safeguarding brings together teams of specialist domestic abuse adult workers, children's social workers, substance misuse practitioners and adult mental health workers all working together in a “whole family” approach to support families most in need.
Cabinet member for education and children’s services, Cllr Will Sweet, said: “It was fantastic to see the successful rollout of Family Safeguarding and to hear from practitioners about the impact this model of engaging with families is having in supporting children to remain safe at home in our local communities.”
