Hold a Climate Conversation

As part of its Climate Conversations campaign, Wandsworth Council has put together a resource pack to help people explore issues around climate change.

The pack contains everything you need to hold your own Climate Conversation with your friends, family and networks including information and activities.
Find out the meaning of key terms around climate change such as the greenhouse effect and global warming, see a list of key topic areas to discuss, such as transport, homes and energy, waste and air quality, and get ideas for activities such as a quiz or game. There is also a list of useful resources including weblinks, videos and books.
Climate Conversations are events organised by the council bringing together people to discuss climate centred topics, learn more from guest experts and share information.
Local community groups can get in touch if they would like the council’s dedicated climate change team to deliver a bespoke climate conversation with their group.
And now the new pack is available for all residents to enable them to host their own climate conversation, or to just chat about climate change in an informative and interactive way with friends and family.
Cabinet member for climate sustainability Cllr Kim Caddy (pictured right) said: “Climate Conversations are all about giving residents the information and tools they need to think about climate change and see what small actions they can take to reduce their own carbon footprint.
“It’s part of a wide package of measures – the Wandsworth Environment and Sustainability Strategy – which sets out how the council will continue to reduce its emissions to become carbon neutral by 2030, and how it will support residents and the borough as a whole to reduce emissions.
“The new resource pack means everyone can join in the climate conversation so please take a look and see if it can spark a discussion about what you and your friends and family can do to help tackle climate change.”
