Could you help a vulnerable person in their hour of need

The council’s children’s services department is appealing for members of the public to come forward to volunteer as appropriate adults who can help young people and adults with vulnerabilities at the police station.

The borough needs volunteers to act as appropriate adults in Wandsworth Police Station at times when vulnerable people are being interviewed but, for some reason, are not able to have a family member/family friend there to help and support them.
Being an appropriate adult can be a rewarding role and may be eligible for council support in gaining a qualification. The main requirement is that you either work or live in the borough of Wandsworth and are willing to occasionally give up some of your time.
