The course has been written by expert alcohol counsellors with more than 30 years of experience of supporting people to change their drinking habits for good.
The programme involves spending five to 10 minutes a day carrying out short evidence-based exercises to help you understand and manage your alcohol intake. The course is individualised, and will teach you how to maintain a happier and healthier lifestyle. Sign up today for free.
Residents are encouraged to visit the DrinkChecker website and take the anonymous Drink Test. The website will then help you understand more about how alcohol might be harming your health and will signpost you to advice, support, and treatment if necessary.
Cllr Clare Salier, cabinet member for Adult Social Care and Health, said: “New Year’s resolutions are easy to make but hard to keep. That’s why we want to support people who have pledged to cut down their drinking. Drinking less alcohol can help you lose weight, sleep better and have more energy, as well as save you money. The 30-Day Drink Less Programme will offer you helpful guidance and change your relationship with alcohol for good.”
