There has been some damage to buildings in Wandsworth today and several fallen trees. Building control and tree teams are out and about inspecting damage and making structures and trees safe.

Residents are urged to stay indoors this evening if possible and only travel if really necessary.

If you wish to report a dangerous structure, call (020) 8871 6354 or email dtsbuildingcontrol@richmondandwandsworth.gov.uk.

If you wish to report a fallen tree, call 020 3959 0071/0070 or email trees@enablelc.org.

Outside of office hours report these issues to the Wandsworth Emergency Control on 020 8871 7490.

If your rubbish was due to be picked up today but was not, leave it out tomorrow (Saturday) morning. Extra mop-up collections have been arranged.

COVID testing sites in London are expected to be open as usual tomorrow.

After the storm:

  • Be careful not to touch any electrical/telephone cables that have been blown down or are still hanging
  • Do not walk too close to walls, buildings and trees as they could have been weakened
  • Make sure that any vulnerable neighbours or relatives are safe and help them make arrangements for any repairs.
