Cultivate films
About Cultivate
A short film telling the story of how the Cultivate programme came about with information about early projects. The film features footage of creative workshops taking place, along with interviews with young people and teachers from St Mary’s and Griffin Primaries who have been involved with Cultivate projects, as well as the artists that lead the activities.
The projects featured are ‘Moving Walls’ by Orly Orbach with St Mary’s Primary and ‘Nine Songs for Nine Elms’ by Lucy Cash and Fraya Thomsen with Griffin Primary. Leader of Wandsworth Council, Councillor Govindia, and representatives from Nine Elms developers and contractors Taylor Wimpey and Midgard also appear in the film, sharing their thoughts on why cultural community engagement is so important.

Pump House Pavilion
During the Wandsworth Arts Fringe, a very special pavilion was installed outside the Pump House Gallery in Battersea Park. Part of Cultivate, its design was the result of dialogue over several months with students aged 11-14 from Chestnut Grove Academy in Balham.
