Artsmark
Artsmark is the only creative quality standard for schools and education settings, accredited by Arts Council England and can support you to develop and celebrate your organisation’s commitment to arts and cultural education.
Artsmark is open to primary, secondary and special schools, pupil referral units, youth offending teams and sixth form colleges.

What Artsmark offers
- Artsmark provides a clear and flexible framework for teachers and school leaders to embed creativity across the whole curriculum and address school improvement priorities.
- Professional support, advice and resources to strengthen your arts provision
- Support throughout your Artsmark journey by A New Direction, London’s Bridge Organisation providing training, advice, practical teaching resources and introductions to other settings and leading cultural organisations in your area.
- Artsmark clearly demonstrates how you support personal development and provides evidence to Ofsted on how you meet its spiritual, moral, social, cultural requirements.
- One of three award levels - Silver, Gold or Platinum.

Creative CPD programme
Creative Wandsworth, in partnership with Wandsworth School Improvement Service offer a programme of networking and professional development opportunities for Wandsworth teachers.
Past Creative CPD sessions:
- Introduction to Music Therapy Techniques for Mental Health & Wellbeing
- Sensory Storytelling for every classroom - Drawing
- Sensory Storytelling for every classroom – Collage
- Working with Clay
We also run a Creative Subject Lead Network for Wandsworth primary schools which meets five times per year and is a chance to find out about opportunities, resources and hear from guest speakers.
Creative networking events
Each school term we hold a creative networking event – a chance for creative representatives from a range of local organisations to meet teachers and others working with young people in an informal environment. Each event is held in a different arts space in the borough.
Events have been suspended during 2020-22 but are due to restart in 2022.
