Alton aspirations programme
Regeneration goes beyond building new homes and community facilities, and offers an opportunity to improve residents' quality of life through:
- Employment and training opportunities
- Arts and culture
- Healthy activities
The Council’s Aspirations programme was launched in 2013 and was an ambitious set of proposals to regenerate whole neighbourhoods, create more homes, help people into work and encourage them to aspire to better, safer, healthier lives.
The programme included providing funding, along with many other such sponsor organisations, for projects to eventually become self-sufficient.
