Chantelle's Community Kitchen

Free pre-packed, nutritious, homemade meals to take away or eat in (donations appreciated if you feel able).

Chantelle’s Community Kitchen always welcomes new volunteers, with or without cooking experience. There are a variety of roles to fill in the friendly kitchen on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Brunch Café

A new brunch café is brought to you by Chantelle's Community Kitchen. Join us for a free light lunch. Donations are appreciated if you feel able.

Weekly women's coffee morning

SW15 Women's Network invites you to a free weekly women's coffee morning.

Our coffee mornings provide you with an opportunity to take a break, meet new friends and find out what's going on in your local community.

Up to date information on activities and services for women and families is provided.

Enjoy free refreshments and arts and crafts. Children are welcome.

Roehampton Christmas Market - Stallholder call out

If you are a baker, craft maker or local organisation looking to sell your homemade goods, or raise funds, how about taking a stall at the Roehampton Christmas Market?

The market will take place on Saturday 7 December from 2 to 4pm. Stalls are £20 each.

Dons Fit - women only

Free female fitness programme run by AFC Wimbledon Foundation.

• Location: Davies Sports Hall at the University of Roehampton, Laurence Court Froebel Court, SW15 5PJ

In addition to the regular fitness classes, the Dons Fit for Women sessions will feature a variety of workshops and events, including yoga and selfcare workshops, as well as a female-centered self-defence class.

This term, AFC Wimbledon Foundation is also offering Dons Fit participants free match day tickets to the AFC Wimbledon Women’s team games, with the chance to be hosted in a VIP box at Plough Lane Stadium!

Free English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) lessons

This is available to those who have English as their second language.

Would you like to be able to:

• Develop your vocabulary and grammar
• Write formal letters and fill in forms
• Improve your fluency and accuracy in speaking

You can learn ESOL on the Alton Estate and the course is free.

Make up masterclass

You are invited to come and learn how to use your make up to enhance your natural beauty.

This make up masterclass, with an expert from MAC is brought to you by @santurary4sisterhood and is supported by the Alton Renewal team.

Halloween party

We invite you to join our Halloween party!

Come along for some crafting, cake decorating, face painting and refreshments.

Fancy dress is encouraged and there will be a prize for the best dressed child under 5 and best dressed child over 5.

There will also be a chance to view and comment on the plans for the Roehampton Community Hub and Village Square.

Chocolate & beyond

A brilliant opportunity to unwind and learn to create your own cocoa body scrub, hot chocolate stirrers and homemade chocolates.

Community Engagement Action Plan

In January 2024 the Alton Regeneration Team published the Alton Engagement Action Plan 2023/24 which sets out the large number of engagement activities which took place over the previous 12 months and identifies some further activities for the next 12 months.

The Alton Engagement Plan is updated annually. Further ideas and activities will be developed with the community as the year proceeds.
