2024/25 scheme
The table below shows the maximum amount of grant a qualifying tenant could receive, as long as they have had at least three years of public sector tenancy.
The amount of grant rewarded is means tested and is classed as gap funding to use towards the purchase of a property. This means you may be offered a reduced grant.

If you have less than two years tenancy, you will not be eligible for a house purchase grant.
Adaptations
The maximum grant available to use towards an adaptation is now £60,000 irrespective of size of property being given up by tenant.
Abroad sales
There will now be a fixed offer of grant for abroad sales, this will be based upon the exchange rate on the date of the offer and discretion will be used to review and recover any grant amount for abroad sales where funds received are in excess of the purchase price (due to exchange rate fluctuation).
