Council tenancy conditions
As a tenant you are responsible for the behaviour of friends and relatives and others living in or visiting your home.
Your rights and responsibilities as a tenant will change depending on the type of tenancy you have. It is important that you know whether you have an introductory, secure periodic or flexible fixed term tenancy.
Your tenancy conditions set out your responsibilities as a tenant and our responsibilities in how we manage and maintain your property.
The tenancy conditions include information on issues such as looking after your property and communal areas, your garden and balcony, re-decorating and making improvements, keeping pets, behaviour of visitors and household members and allowing access to the council and contractors.
- Tenancy conditions for all secure (lifetime) tenants, and flexible fixed term tenancies starting from 1 May 2023 onwards
- Tenancy conditions for flexible fixed term tenancies starting before 1 May 2023
