Description
We have commissioned a highly experienced and skilled team of architects, landscape designers and consultants to assess the feasibility for the redevelopment of previously non-residential areas of Ashburton South and Ashburton Chartfield Estates into new housing, with enhancements to green spaces, community space and opportunities for play.
News
An application for planning permission was submitted on 30 January 2024 for Whitnell Way. The proposal includes the demolition of some existing storage structures and erection of three residential blocks. These three to five-storeys will comprise of 32 units (9 x 1-bedroom, 18 x 2-bedroom and 5 x 3-bedroom flats) with associated landscaping and tree planting, car parking, cycle, refuse storage and play area.
Applications for planning permission were submitted for Ashburton South sites on 5 February 2024. The proposals include the demolition of some existing storage structures and erection of two residential blocks. These five to six-storey blocks will comprise of:
- 29 units (12 x 1-bedroom, 11 x 2-bedroom, 4 x 3-bedroom and 2 x 4-bedroom flats) at Innes Gardens
- Two residential blocks (five to six-storeys) comprising of 43 units (14 x 1-bedroom, 15 x 2-bedroom, 14 x 3-bedroom flats) at Hayward Gardens
- One residential block (three to five storeys), comprising of seven units (1 x 1-bedroom, 6 x 2-bedroom flats) at Cortis Road.
The associated landscaping/tree planting, car parking, cycle, refuse storage and play areas, including the central playground are included within the applications.
The planning applications were submitted following consultation with the local community during the design phase of the scheme and their feedback was incorporated into the planning application.
