Sexual health webinars
In partnership with our sexual health service providers, charities Spectra and METRO, we have created webinars to celebrate key sexual health events.
National HIV Testing Week
National HIV Testing Week is a campaign to promote regular testing among some of the most affected population groups in England. This February, join METRO Charity, Spectra, KWA Africa and Wandsworth and Richmond Councils for a panel discussion on HIV.
A trip down memory lane - our Pride stories
Join METRO Charity, Spectra, and Wandsworth and Richmond Council for a trip down memory lane. The panel will discuss their Pride memories, how they've marked the occasion through the years and how has it impacted their lives.
COVID-19 and sexual health
Colleagues from METRO Charity and Spectra came together to reflect on the year that has passed and what it has meant for people’s sexual health, the services they’ve accessed and the change the pandemic has brought.
LGTBQ+ History Month
February is LGTBQ+ month and to mark this month-long annual celebration, we hosted, in partnership with our sexual health providers, METRO charity and Spectra, a webinar to explore and discuss the links between good mental and sexual health for LGTBQ+ people.
Being transgender and living with HIV
To celebrate this year’s World AIDS Day, local sexual health service providers Spectra and METRO hosted a webinar on being transgender and living with HIV. The webinar is an opportunity to learn more about the realities of living with HIV as a transgender person, including how stigma and discrimination affect those living with HIV.
Relationships and Sex Education (RSE)
To mark 2020's Sexual Health Week, we hosted a Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) webinar. With RSE compulsory in all secondary schools in England from September 2020, this webinar allowed our team of experts to explain and discuss the new additions to the curriculum.
Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)
Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis is a way to reduce a person’s risk of becoming infected with HIV through sex by taking anti-HIV drugs before sexual intercourse. To celebrate it becoming routinely available through a national roll out, we hosted a webinar to discuss all things PrEP.
This was a great opportunity for people to learn more about PrEP and understand how the drug can significantly contribute to reaching the government’s goal of zero new HIV transmissions by 2030.
