We have worked with our partners to launch the Safe Space Wandsworth initiative in Clapham Junction to provide a safe space for women and girls, or anyone who is feeling vulnerable.
It is designed to help people feel more at ease when enjoying the night-time economy. Members of the public can seek support and advice for all forms of VAWG, use the gazebo to wait safely for onward transport or have a chat with officers and volunteers.
The initiative is a joint venture between our Community Safety Service and Partnership, the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) in Wandsworth, and the British Transport Police.
