Pay your Business Rates bill
We send out an annual bill every March, which is payable the following tax year.
Bills are usually paid in 10 monthly instalments. It may be possible to spread payments over 12 instalments depending on when you receive your bill. Contact us before making a payment if you would like to do this.
You can pay your bill by choosing from a number of payment options.
Pay online
You can make a single payment using our secure online payment system.
You will need your Business Rates account number and a debit card to complete a payment. Just enter the numbers from your Business Rates account number, do not enter any dashes.
We do not accept credit card payments.
Direct Debit
You can set up a Direct Debit by completing our Direct Debit mandate. Email the form to us at brates@wandsworth.gov.uk or post it to the address on the form.
Payment date for Direct Debits is the 10th or 26th of each month.
By telephone
You can call 0800 021 7763 and make a payment over the phone by debit card. You will need your Business Rates account number, which is shown on the front of your bill. Just enter the numbers from your account number, do not enter any dashes.

Bank transfer
You can make a payment by transferring money directly to us from your bank account. You will need to use your Business Rates account number as your payment reference to ensure your payments are processed correctly.

By post
All postal payments should be sent to: Wandsworth Council, PO Box 18, Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London, SW18 2PU.
Cheques should be made payable to Wandsworth Council and be accompanied by one of your payment slips.
Please also write your Business Rates account number on the reverse of your cheque and ask for a receipt, if required.
Non-payment of your bill

Refunds
If you have overpaid Business Rates, or your circumstances have changed and your account is in credit, you might be able to get a refund directly into your business bank account.
You will need to provide your Business Rates account number and bank details. We will check your Business Rates account and any other outstanding payments before giving a refund.
